If you’re looking for a chill, yet groovy night of glitch hop, Empire Control Room is bringing L.A.-based producer Nosaj Thing to Austin on December 8, 2017.

His sound references iconically L.A. beat scene elements, but at the same time is above and beyond his own. With deep bass, minimalistic synth, and collaborations with artists like Chance the Rapper and Blonde Redhead, Chung slowly builds unique soundscapes that vary widely from track to track.

Jason Chung, the man behind the moniker, began honing his experimental sound at some of L.A.’s most notorious experimental gatherings, including Low End Theory with Flying Lotus. His versatility has guided him in seamlessly working across genres, and Beck, Toro y Moi, and most notably, Kid Cudi.

Speaking of Kid Cudi, trust us — you already know and are a fan of Chung. He produced “Man on The Moon (The Anthem),” as well as Chance the Rapper’s “Cold Stares” and “Paranoia.”

His latest album for which is he touring, Parallels, explores the intersection of seemingly opposite ideas, much like the elements within his own songs and he has stayed true to this theme down to his inverted Twitter handle. Rumors have it his show just might transport you into the upside down à la Stranger Things.

We can’t imagine a better suited act for Empire Control Room’s vanguard vibe. Grab tix for only $12 here; use code IOP for an additional 15% off! See you there!
